NEHS Officer Roles

Duties of National Elementary Honors Society Officers

 

President

(Open to 6th grade NEHS Members Only):

● Attend all NEHS functions and meetings.

● Meet with advisors before each meeting to set agenda.

● Lead meetings, including assigning members to discuss each agenda item.

● Participate in NEHS induction in August.

● Help to organize service projects.

 

Vice President:

(Open to 5th- 6th grade NEHS Members Only):

● Attend all NEHS functions and meetings.

● Meet with advisors before each meeting to set agenda.

● Assist President with all other duties when necessary.

● Participate in NEHS induction in August.

● Help to organize service projects.

 

Secretary:

(Open to 5th- 6th grade NEHS Members Only):

● Attend all NEHS functions and meetings.

● Take attendance at all meetings

● Write up meeting notes and distribute them to absent members.

● Send out reminders for service opportunities and absences notices.

● Participate in NEHS induction in August.
